These are original ECC83 EI audio tubes, long ribbed gray plates. NOS, no printing, without boxes.
2A1 EI code for ECC83 / 12AX7, smooth Telefunken type plates. This is the last fine EU made ECC83 / 12AX7.
They are (almost) identical copy of genuine Telefunken’s smooth plate ECC83 / 12AX7 from 60s. They are done on original Telefunken tooling machines in EI tube plant in Nis, Serbia. There are few differences:
– they don’t have genuine Telefunken thick getter
– staples are on inner sides of plates facing each other

EI Nis has also the same version in silver (“nickel”) plates and completely another version on Philips tooling machines, they are ribbed plates.
During 80s and 90s when West European tube plants were closed, many Telefunken, Siemens, Philips, Valvo and other brands were actually EI tubes. You can find them also branded like premium, long life types E83CC and ECC803S.
